The event featured a guest lecture focused on the critical role of Human Rights Commissions in safeguarding fundamental freedoms. Participants learned about the frameworks that protect human rights, particularly through the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and the Protection of Human Rights Act of 1993.
The lecture underscored how these commissions, especially the NHRC, address violations and promote justice for marginalized groups, including women and the LGBTQ+ community.
