CULTURALS
“Without leaps of imagination, or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning.” – Gloria Steinem
To acquire mere academic alphabet behind a name, one need not enrol into an educational institution, a tutorial would suffice. It is in pursuit of excellence, overall development and a burning desire to achieve holistic revamping, that a student steps into a reputed institution. In compliance with this ideology, we at NHC Marathalli work towards empowering every student to take on responsibility, organise events, execute it efficiently and confidently and above all work as a team bearing the success and failure without callousness and arrogance.
Our college strives to tap the potential in every student by organizing diverse cultural activities such as literary, artistic and aesthetic. The uniqueness of these events is that the students are handed the baton to run the show completely with a shadow teacher for guidance. This enhances the social skills and teaches them the nuances of event management in its entirety. Some of the events are:
Ethnic Day: The main objective is to bring together the community, despite the diversity of language, region, or religion. The entire campus wears a festive look on this day, with the students dressed in their ethnic best.
Tarang: An inter class cultural event that provides a platform for the first years, in particular to showcase their skills and talents. The events are organized under 3 segments- Literary, Cultural and Management. The impetus behind this challenging endeavour is our belief that extra-curricular and co-curricular activities provide the much-needed exposure, the extra edge, the winning mindset to the students to go beyond the ordinary and the average.
Literary Fest-Bibliophile (an offshoot of Tarang): A three-day literary fest comprising of Dumb Charades, Turn Coat, Creative Writing, Movie Review, Photo Verse and Nannu Kannadiga-a Kannada event is organised as a part of Tarang to tap the literary fervour in the students.
