Poster Making Competition: “Justice Sans Borders’’
On November 6, 2024, the Human Rights Protection Cell, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized a vibrant and thought-provoking Poster Making Competition for BBA, BCom, and BCA students. This event aimed to raise awareness about human rights issues under the theme: “Justice Sans Borders: Injustice Anywhere is a Threat to Justice Everywhere.”
Participants were encouraged to explore various sub-themes that encapsulated essential human rights, including:
- The right to work and education.
- Children and women’s rights.
- Equality and non-discrimination.
- The right to life and liberty.
- Freedom of expression.
- Dignity, freedom, and justice for all.
- Peace and security.
- Freedom from slavery and torture.
The competition took place in the Quadrangle of the Amar Hemu Kalani Block, attracting a total of 16 participating teams. The event saw enthusiastic involvement from students, showcasing their creativity and commitment to promoting human rights through art.
The organizing members included Ms. Serah Sudhin as the Cell Head and Ms. Devaki S. as the Faculty Coordinator. The student coordinators who played a crucial role in executing the event were Chetana, Shruthika, Chandana, and Chinmayi from V BBA B, Aishwarya Madhusudhan from III BCom A, and Girish from III BCom A.
The competition concluded with the announcement of the winners:
– I Prize: Akshay & Balaji (III Sem BCom A)
– II Prize: Prithvi Krishna & Amoulya (III Semester BCom B)
– III Prize: Nikitha & Shreya (I Semester BBA C)
This event not only encouraged artistic expression but also fostered a deeper understanding of human rights issues among the students, reinforcing the importance of justice and equality in society.
