INTRODUCTION:
On August 9th, 2024, our college hosted an engaging and informative orientation program for the incoming freshmen and their parents. The event, held in the college auditorium, aimed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the institution and ease the transition for both students and their parents.
The orientation began by the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony followed by an invocation dance and a warm welcome from the college principal, who emphasized the importance of community and support in achieving academic and personal success. Following the principal’s address, attendees were introduced to the college’s history, values, and mission, setting the stage for a successful journey ahead.
The event concluded with a Q&A session, where parents and students had the opportunity to pose questions, this open forum addressed various concerns, from academic expectations to extracurricular activities, and helped demystify the college experience.
Overall, the orientation was a resounding success, providing valuable information and fostering a sense of community among the new students. The positive feedback received from attendees indicates that the program effectively addressed their needs and set a positive tone for the upcoming academic year.
