New Horizon College, Marathalli organized a one-day Faculty Development Programme on ‘Institutional Accreditation’ for teaching and non-teaching staff on 22nd August 28, 2018 in the Chankya Seminar Hall. Dr. Ravichandra Reddy, Senior Academic Consultant and Dr. Shakuntala Katre, Academic Director, MES Institution were the speakers and resource people for the day. The programme started at 9.00 a.m with the welcome address by Dr. R. Bodhisatvan, Principal NHCM. The first session was taken by Dr. Ravichandra Reddy. He introduced the need and importance of NAAC for an institution and also gave an outline of the process of Accreditation. The second session was from Dr. Sakuntala Katre. She spoke about the changes in criteria’s and the new process of NAAC Accreditation. Post- lunch session was for SSR activity. Seven groups were made and an activity was conducted to know the strengths and weaknesses of the institution. The activity help in team work and team planning .The programme came to an end at 4.30 pm with the vote of thanks by Dr. R. Bodhisatvan.
