Introduction:

The Leo Club hosted the Fabric of Hope event on June 28, 2024, with the primary aim of raising awareness about the importance of clothing sustainability. This event focused on encouraging clothing donations, facilitating clothing exchanges, and educating the community about the benefits of reusing and recycling clothes.

Objectives:

– To raise awareness about the environmental impact of textile waste.
– To collect gently used clothing for donation to those in need.
– To provide a platform for community members to exchange clothes.
– To promote sustainable fashion practices and educate the public on clothing recycling and reuse.

Event Highlights:
1. Clothing Awareness Campaign:

– Informative sessions were conducted, detailing the detrimental effects of textile waste on the environment.
– Experts in sustainable fashion shared practical tips on reducing clothing waste and the benefits of recycling and reusing garments.

2. Clothing Donation Drive:

– Participants were invited to bring gently used clothing items for donation.
