A day-long workshop on Outcome-Based Education was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of New Horizon College, Marathalli on 18 Jan, 2019 with the aim of facilitating the comprehension and implementation of Outcome based Education amongst the faculty members of New Horizon College. It also focused on formative and summative assessments for the effective learning of the students. The Workshop started with a welcome address by Mrs. Prasanna Prakash- IQAC Head. Dr. Nisha, the resource person from the Electronics and Communication Department, New Horizon College of Engineering, Marathalli, focused on the topic Accreditation and Out Come Based Education. The workshop aimed at augmenting our knowledge on Outcome Based Education. The main objective of the workshop is to have sessions on effective implementation of OBE from several perspectives. The workshop ended with an interactive session where questions were raised and answered. In general, the faculty members appreciated the workshop and became knowledgeable about the Accreditation and OBE. The workshop concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Ms. Benila, Assistant Professor- New Horizon College, Marathalli.
