The Bag Craft Competition organized by the Avini Eco Club on December 28, 2023, was a platform for college students to showcase their talent and commitment to sustainable living. The event, coordinated by Kushala V Reddy and Sanjana Naik, under the guidance of Ms. Suchithra Deviprasad, witnessed impressive participation and creativity. After careful evaluation, the winners were announced, with Manasi and Pushkarani securing the first position, Rushitha and Diya securing second, and Abdielsain securing the third position. This essay aims to celebrate the winners of the competition and their remarkable contributions to sustainable bag crafting.
Manasi and Pushkarani’s bag design stood out for its innovative use of recycled materials and attention to detail. Their creation showcased a combination of fabric scraps, repurposed buttons, and discarded ribbons, resulting in a visually appealing and functional bag. Their meticulous craftsmanship and commitment to sustainability were evident in every aspect of the design. By choosing to use recycled materials, Manasi and Pushkarani demonstrated the potential to transform waste into something beautiful and practical.

Rushitha and Diya’s bag design impressed the judges with its unique concept and execution. Their bag incorporated a combination of upcycled denim and discarded leather scraps, giving it a distinct and fashionable appearance.
