About the event:
Commerce Club, in association with IQAC, conducted an event for B.COM, BBA, and BCA students based on spontaneity and teamwork.
OBJECTIVE:
- To develop spontaneity among students.
- To help the students with logical thinking.
- To help students develop focus.
- To help the students learn communication skills.
- To help the students build self-confidence.
The Commerce Club, in association with IQAC, conducted an event called “HOCUS FOCUS” on 22.11.2024. The competition took place in Chanakya Seminar Hall. Around 85 students participated in the event.
The competition was held at three levels. In the first round, five students were called at once. Two green and black boxes were drawn on the floor. The five students were made to jump into the respective box, which was called out. Two students qualified from the group of five students.
The qualified students were taken to the second round. The second round consisted of questions involving balance sheets displayed on the screen with an error. The students were asked to find out the error within thirty seconds. In the third round, students were called on the stage, given random activities, and asked to freeze in between their activities. It was an enthusiastic and interactive event during which students learned to classify the various balance sheet items.
The competition winners were Niyati V Patel, Hemalatha P and Ritam Bhattacharjee.
OUTCOME:
The students were able to develop focus and learn accounting terms classification.
