The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a central sector public service program in India launched in 1969, operating under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports to develop student personality through community service. With the motto “Not Me but You,” it engages college and +2 level students in voluntary activities like literacy, health camps, environmental conservation, and disaster relief.
