ANTI RAGGING CELL
Anti-ragging art competition -Canvas of Respect
The Anti-Ragging Cell, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organised an anti-ragging art competition titled “Canvas of Respect” on 14 October 2026 at the Quadrangle, Amar Hemu Kalani Block. The event commenced at 10:30 AM and was open to all students, with provisions for solo and duo participation. The competition aimed to raise awareness about ragging and promote respect, inclusion, safety and kindness on campus.
Participants expressed their ideas through creative artwork, including sketching, painting, colouring and poster art. Seven teams comprising 14 first-semester BCA students participated enthusiastically in the competition. Their posters conveyed powerful messages such as “Stop Ragging”, “Say No to Ragging” and “Together Against Ragging”. The artworks emphasised the importance of building a safe, respectful and inclusive learning environment.
Entries were evaluated based on creativity, originality, relevance to the theme and presentation. Keerthana R and Amrutha secured first place, followed by Ramcharan and Tarun in second place. Yashaswini H and Vinay A won third place for their creative contributions.
The competition encouraged students to reflect on the harmful effects of ragging and their responsibility in preventing it. Overall, “Canvas of Respect” successfully combined artistic expression with social awareness, reinforcing NHCM’s commitment to fostering a ragging-free campus culture.
