Details of the Competition:

The Human Rights Protection Cell of New Horizon College, Kasturinagar successfully organized a Poster Making Competition on 29th August 2025 at the Amar Hemu Kalani Block Quadrangle. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation with over 90 registrations from the B.Com, BBA, and BCA streams, showcasing the creative expression of students on a socially relevant theme.

The competition began at 12:30 PM, introducing participants to the theme β€” β€œTo live, is to be human and live with dignity, is to live with human rights.” The theme highlighted the essence of humanity, emphasizing that dignity and rights are inseparable elements of a meaningful human life.

Participants were allotted one hour to create their posters. The quadrangle was filled with creativity and enthusiasm as students used colors, sketches, and imagination to portray their ideas. Each team later presented their artwork to the judges, explaining their concepts, symbolism, and the deeper connection between their creations and the theme.

The competition was evaluated by Ms. Sowmya H. L (Kannada Lecturer) and Ms. Samruddhi Naik (Hindi Lecturer). The judges commended the participants for their originality, clarity of message, and artistic interpretation. Posters were judged based on originality, creativity, visual appeal, presentation, and thematic relevance.

Outcome of the Competition:

The Poster Making Competition served as an inspiring platform for students to blend art with advocacy, using creativity to voice the importance of human dignity and rights. The event successfully fostered awareness, teamwork, and social consciousness among participants, making it a memorable and impactful experience.
