FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

5-Day Faculty Development Programme — “Beyond the Horizon: Expanding Mindset for Academic Excellence” New Horizon College, Marathahalli | April 6–10, 2026 | 104 Participants

Organised by IQAC in hybrid mode, this FDP aimed to enhance professional competencies of faculty, research scholars, and PG students across five thematic sessions:

Day 1 – Fighting the Burnout (Mr. A. H. Sagar) Addressed stress and burnout among educators, focusing on self-care, work-life balance, and emotional resilience.

Day 2 – Conflict Resolution and Negotiation (Mr. Venu Somaiah H) Explored constructive conflict management using emotional intelligence, active listening, and assertive communication.

Day 3 – AI-Ready Mindset (Dr. Srinivas Padmanabuni) Highlighted AI’s role in personalised learning and how educators can integrate AI tools responsibly into teaching.

Day 4 – Lead with Empathy (Mr. Naresh Deevi) Focused on empathetic teaching, understanding students holistically, and creating inclusive classrooms.

Day 5 – Radical Candor in Academic Feedback (Dr. Bhanu Prakash R) Trained educators in delivering structured, growth-oriented feedback using the SBI and COIN models.

The programme was well-received, equipping educators with modern skills to foster continuous learning and professional growth in today’s evolving academic environment.
