About The Event:
On the 31st of October 2023, the photography club Aakriti at the college organized a captivating photography competition titled “Shutter Show”. The main objective of the competition was to showcase the beauty of the college environment through the lens of talented photographers.
Enthusiastic participants from various departments within the college eagerly took part in this event. They were given the opportunity to roam freely around the campus, capturing picture-perfect moments that spoke volumes about the beauty and emotions present within their surroundings. The rules of the competition also required each participant to include a written description explaining the emotions and stories behind their captured images.
The competition brought together a diverse range of talents and perspectives. Each participant had their own unique take on the college environment, resulting in a stunning collection of photographs that collectively portrayed the essence of the institution.
After careful consideration, the esteemed judges of the competition announced the winners. The first place was claimed by the talented Vinny Catherine, whose photograph gracefully intertwined the architectural beauty of the college with the serene surrounding nature. Vinny’s photograph succeeded in capturing the essence of the college environment while eliciting a sense of tranquility and harmony.
The second place was secured by Aadharsh R, whose photograph showcased a vibrant cultural event unfolding on the college grounds. With the perfect timing and composition, Aadharsh’s photograph conveyed a sense of liveliness and energy, highlighting the diverse cultural fabric of the college community.
Gowri Sankar, with an exceptional eye for capturing human emotions, clinched the third place. Gowri’s candid photograph depicted the heartwarming interaction between students engaged in a deep conversation in the college library. The image evoked a sense of intellectual curiosity and camaraderie among the students.
The completed event was undoubtedly a resounding success, as evidenced by the overwhelming display of talent and creativity.
