Event Description:
The event was conducted on 16th and 17th December 2023. New Horizon College in collaboration with SMILEY’S India and few other colleges provided volunteering support for India’s First Inclusive Dance Festival – TANDAAV. From Dance, Music and even Chanda Melam, Tandav, the festival of inclusion is a celebration on it’s own.
The two day event was conducted at Patel Public School, Kadubeesnahalli.
On the first day – 16th December our volunteers helped in cleaning and decorating the premises, following with the dance practices.
On the second day – 17th December many NGOS and Special schools brought children with all type of disability to enjoy their day with list of events like Social Dance, Open Mike, Chenda Melam, Treasure Hunt, Inclusive Games, Theatre, Food Stalls, Art Stalls, Sign Language Workshop, Blind Zone, Wheelchair Zone, Drawing Competition for Kids and much more.
Witnessing their joy and engagement highlighted the impact of creating accessible and enjoyable experiences. Our volunteers helped them throughout the day enthusiastically. Food and beverages were provided to the volunteers and the day ended with Chenda Melam and DJ being organised for the volunteers.
