Introduction:
DWANI’s interclass competition for 1st-year students, titled “Speak with a Twist”, held on 23rd June 2023, was a vibrant showcase of budding talent and creativity. This event was organized to provide a platform for the incoming batch to express themselves uniquely and engagingly. Through this competition, we aimed to foster confidence, public speaking skills, and innovative thinking among our freshers.
Competition Structure:
The competition consisted of three rounds, each designed to challenge participants in different aspects of communication.
Highlights:
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from all first-year classes, showcasing a diverse range of talents and perspectives. The Elevator Pitch round demonstrated the students’ ability to think critically and present their ideas succinctly, impressing the judges and audience alike. The Impromptu Speaking round provided a thrilling display of quick thinking and effective communication under pressure.
Feedback and Suggestions:
Participants expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to showcase their communication skills and appreciated the variety of rounds that challenged them in different ways. Some suggested incorporating more team-based activities in future editions, while others proposed extending the duration of certain rounds to allow for more in-depth discussions.

“Speak with a Twist” was not just a competition; it was a celebration of communication, creativity, and confidence. We witnessed the potential of our first-year students and are excited to see how they will continue to grow and excel in their academic journey.
