About the Event
The Shutter Stories photography event, organized by the Gender Equity Cell in collaboration with Aakriti Photography, was held at the Chanakya Seminar Hall. This unique event aimed to shed light on the critical theme of Gender Equity through the lens of art and photography. Nine passionate and creative participants, each with their distinct perspectives, showcased a variety of photographs that powerfully conveyed the challenges, triumphs, and ongoing struggles related to gender equality in today’s world.
The event was not just a display of beautiful and impactful imagery but also an engaging platform for discussion and reflection. Throughout the event, attendees had the opportunity to witness the stories captured by the photographers. This was followed by an open forum where participants, organizers, and guests shared insights on how visual art can challenge societal norms and inspire change.
The success of Shutter Stories was evident not only in the vibrant exchange of ideas but also in the emotional impact of the photographs themselves. With its inspiring photographs and thoughtful discourse, Shutter Stories proved to be a significant step towards raising awareness on gender issues and promoting a culture of equality.
