Brief Description of the Event: Price It Right was an exciting and interactive event organized by the Commerce Club at New Horizon College in the Falconry Auditorium. Designed to test participants’ market awareness and decision-making skills, the event fostered teamwork, enthusiasm, and healthy competition as students participated in teams of two.

The competition consisted of four engaging rounds that combined learning with entertainment, allowing participants to showcase their commercial knowledge and critical thinking abilities.

Event Rounds:

  • Round 1 – Guess the Price: Participants were shown various products and asked to select the correct price from four given options.
  • Round 2 – Which Product is More Expensive: Teams compared two products and identified which one had the higher market price.
  • Round 3 – Smart Shopper: Participants made strategic purchasing decisions within a set budget or scenario, demonstrating financial awareness and logical reasoning.
  • Round 4 – Blindfolded Guessing: One team member was blindfolded and had to identify a product using touch, smell, or hints provided by their partner.

The Falconry Hall was filled with energy and excitement as teams competed enthusiastically through each round. The event offered a perfect blend of fun and learning, encouraging students to apply practical knowledge about market trends and consumer behavior.

Outcome: The event enhanced participants’ understanding of product valuation, budgeting, and real-world market dynamics. It also promoted collaboration, quick thinking, and communication among team members.

Conclusion: Price It Right proved to be a lively and memorable experience, reflecting the creativity, planning, and teamwork of the Commerce Club. The event successfully achieved its goal of making learning engaging while nurturing essential business and decision-making skills among students.
