Anti Sexual Harassment Cell organized an Poster making Competition on the topic “Gender Equality in Everyday life” for all BBA., B. Com, and B.CA students on 28.11.2024 between 12:30 – 1:30 Pm at room no:A-104, Shaheed Hemu Kalani Block
The “Gender Equality in Everyday Life” poster-making competition was held with the aim to raise awareness about the importance of gender equality in all aspects of daily life. The competition encouraged participants to creatively express the need for equal rights, responsibilities, and opportunities for all genders in society. The purpose of this report is to provide an overview of the competition, including the concept behind the theme, the participant submissions, and key takeaways from the event. This initiative reinforced the institution’s dedication to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment, using the power of words to inspire change and raise awareness about critical social issues.
A diverse group of 44 participants, actively contributed their voices to this crucial conversation, adding depth and perspective to the discourse.
A heartfelt acknowledgement goes to our esteemed judge, Ms. Aparupa Panigrahi , Assistant Professor, Department of ComputerApplications for her valuable contributions to the success of the Poster Making Competition. She evaluated the posters based on creativity, thematic relevance, originality, and emotional impact.
Objectives of the Event
- Raise awareness about harassment: The competition aimed to shed light on the pervasive issue of harassment in society.
- Empower voices: The event provided a platform for participants to challenge harassment through the power of creative expression.
- Encourage reflection: Students were invited to reflect on their personal experiences and the societal impact of harassment.

The poster making competition successfully provided a platform for students “Gender equality in everyday life “is essential for the well-being of individuals, families, and societies. While progress has been made, much work remains to be done to eliminate gender-based discrimination in all spheres of life. Achieving gender equality requires challenging entrenched stereotypes, redistributing responsibilities, and ensuring that all individuals have equal access to opportunities and resources. Only through collective action and sustained efforts can we create a world where gender does not limit anyone’s potential.
