Introduction:
On 8th July 2023, the Fashion Club of New Horizon College organized a remarkable event called “Poshaak – An Ethnic Elegance.” The event aimed to celebrate the rich cultural diversity and heritage of India by showcasing traditional ethnic wear through a ramp walk competition. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from approximately 60 students, who showcased their ethnic attire with grace and poise.
About the Event:
The event “Poshaak” began with a vibrant and captivating ramp walk, where students confidently exhibited their ethnic outfits. The fashion club students gave an mesmerizing dance performance with ethnic ethnic outfits. The participants donned various traditional attires representing the different states and cultures of
India. The purpose was not only to appreciate the beauty of ethnic wear but also to foster a sense of cultural understanding and unity among the college community.
The main highlight of the event was the “Hunt for Ms. Ethnic and Mr. Ethnic.” Participants were judged based on their fashion sense, confidence, stage presence, and how well they carried the ethnic outfits. Each contestant brought their unique style and charm to the stage, making the competition tough for the esteemed panel of judges.
The event was graced by two distinguished judges, Ms. Sowmya, the Dean of Life Science at New Horizon College, and Mr. Sai, an esteemed alumnus of the college. Both judges brought their expertise and knowledge to the table, ensuring a fair and unbiased evaluation of the participants.
After a closely contested competition, Ms. Koyal emerged as the winner of the title “Ms. Ethnic,” while Mr. Kaushik secured the title of “Mr. Ethnic.” Both winners showcased exceptional style and elegance, impressing the judges and the audience alike. They were awarded with certificates of achievement and exciting prizes in recognition of their outstanding performances. “Poshaak – An Ethnic Elegance” proved to be a memorable and successful event, showcasing the diversity and beauty of Indian ethnic wear.
