Event Overview
The Gender Equity Cell, under the IQAC initiative, organized an Open Mic event titled “Voices of Equality” on 3rd November 2025 at the Chanakya Seminar Hall. Aimed at students from B.Com, BBA, and BCA (I, III & V semesters), the event provided an expressive platform for participants to share poems, speeches, stories, and reflections centered on equality, empowerment, and gender sensitivity.
With 13 active participants and an engaged audience, the event fostered an atmosphere of openness, creativity, and dialogue. Students highlighted their personal experiences and perspectives, contributing to meaningful conversations on inclusiveness and social justice. The session concluded with an interactive discussion reinforcing the significance of gender sensitivity within the campus community.
The event was coordinated by the Gender Equity Cell team, with support from faculty and student coordinators, and was judged by Ms. Jyothi Shetty, Assistant Professor. Winners were announced for the top three performances, recognizing their impactful contributions.
Overall, the Open Mic successfully promoted awareness, encouraged creative expression, and strengthened the commitment to building an equitable and inclusive campus environment.
