About the session / Event: A recent workshop focused on the growing role of AI in education, aiming to equip educators with essential digital skills to enhance the learning experience and explore pedagogical opportunities.
The workshop was divided into two parts: the first half addressed teaching methodologies using AI tools such as Canva, Miro, and ChatGPT, with a hands-on session. The second half concentrated on digital research and publication tools, featuring a practical component.
Dr Sweta Puneet from ICFAI Group and Dr Arun Kumar from New Horizon Engineering College served as the resource persons. Approximately 113 participants, including faculty members and research scholars from various institutions, attended the event, which commenced with a keynote speech by Dr. Vandhana, HOD of the ISE Department at New Horizon College of Engineering.
Objectives:
- To explore AI methodologies for teaching.
- To evaluate resources for diverse learning abilities.
- To enhance research productivity using digital tools.
Outcomes:
Participants gained valuable insights into digital tools for teaching and research, and their feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Faculty members thanked the Management, Principal, and coordinators for organizing this beneficial program. The workshop successfully supported educators in integrating AI tools into their academic practices.
