About the Event:
The Gender Equity Cell organized an Essay Writing Competition on the topic “Empowering Voices: Exploring Choice & Freedom” for all BBA, B.Com, and BCA students on 17.10.25 from 10:50 AM onwards in Room 302, Amar Hemu Kalani Block. The competition also explored sub-themes including “If I Were Invisible for a Day: Observing Inequality” and “My Life, My Choice: Autonomy and Freedom”.
This event aimed to encourage students to reflect deeply on personal autonomy, freedom, and social inequalities, fostering a nuanced understanding of choice and empowerment in everyday life. Through this platform, participants were invited to critically engage with issues of social justice, personal agency, and ways in which individual choices intersect with societal structures. The essay competition emphasized the institution’s commitment to promoting gender awareness, critical thinking, and responsible citizenship among students.
