About the Event:

Human Rights Protection Cell, in conjunction with the literary club, organized an Essay Writing Competition on the topic “Shattered Lives, Stolen Dreams: The Impact of Human Trafficking” for all BBA., B. Com, and B.CA students on 11/12/2023 Between 12:30 – 1:30 at room no:303, Shaheed Hemu Kalani Block.

This event aimed to shed light on the pervasive issue of human trafficking and encourage participants to articulate their insights into the profound consequences it has on individuals and societies. The competition was organized collaboratively by the Human Rights Protection Cell and the Literary Club, symbolizing the institution’s commitment to addressing critical social issues through the combined power of awareness and expression.

A diverse group of 38 participants, actively contributed their voices to this crucial conversation, adding depth and perspective to the discourse. The central theme of the competition, “Shattered Lives, Stolen Dreams: The Impact of Human Trafficking,” challenged participants to delve into the multifaceted dimensions of this grave human rights violation.

A heartfelt acknowledgement goes to our esteemed judges, Ms. Divya and Ms. Devaki, for their invaluable contributions to the success of the essay writing competition on “Shattered Lives, Stolen Dreams: The Impact of Human Trafficking.” Their expertise, dedication, and commitment to promoting awareness and understanding of human rights have significantly enriched the event. The essay writing competition succeeded in bringing attention to the devastating impact of human trafficking, fostering a sense of responsibility and activism among the college community. It served as a reminder of the power of words in advocating for social change.

Objectives:

Raise Awareness and Understanding:

The primary objective of the essay writing competition is to raise awareness and deepen understanding about the pervasive issue of human trafficking.
