On November 9, 2024, New Horizon College of Engineering (NHCE) and New Horizon College (NHC) proudly hosted the Cognizance 2024 Career Fair. This transformative event brought together students from across the New Horizon family of institutions. This fair aimed to showcase the diverse academic pathways and career opportunities within the New Horizon Knowledge Park. The event encouraged students to explore the possibilities available within their own academic community, eliminating the need to look beyond the New Horizon ecosystem for quality education and career preparation.
The Career Guidance Fair drew enthusiastic participation from more than 700 Class 10 and Class 12 students from New Horizon Public School, New Horizon Gurukul, and New Horizon Pre-University College. It allowed them to experience a dynamic learning environment and explore future career paths. The fair began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and a warm welcome from NHCE faculty members. The tone for the day was set, encouraging students to take full advantage of the wealth of resources and mentorship within the New Horizon family.
A key focus of the fair was on introducing students to a wide range of academic programs offered by NHCE and its sister institutions. Each department—from engineering and technology to commerce, management, and computer applications—set up colourful and interactive stalls to draw students in and kindle their curiosity. The stalls were a visual delight, adorned with colourful banners, vibrant displays, and hands-on demonstrations.
In addition to the department stalls, the fair provided a campus tour that kept students engaged and excited. Highlights of the tour included visits to the Centres of Excellence and the well-equipped library—a hub for aspiring scholars. The students were also thrilled to explore the sprawling sports grounds, which testify to New Horizon’s emphasis on holistic development, balancing academic achievement with physical fitness and teamwork. The cafés and canteens scattered across the campus added to the lively atmosphere, showcasing the vibrant community spaces that allow students to unwind, collaborate, and socialize.
During the event, students were also treated to lunch and refreshments, offering a glimpse into the dining facilities available on campus. For those considering staying on campus in the future, this was an excellent opportunity to experience the quality and variety of food options offered in New Horizon’s dining and hostel facilities.
