FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Chiguru ’26, themed “Something Soulful is Sprouting,” was an experiential rural entrepreneurship event organized by the Rural Entrepreneur Development Cell (REDC) on 25 August 2026 for BBA, B.Com, and BCA students. The event aimed to create awareness about rural entrepreneurship, local opportunities, sustainable development, resource management, leadership, teamwork, and entrepreneurial thinking through practical learning experiences.

The programme featured four interactive rounds designed to develop different entrepreneurial competencies. Participants engaged in activities focused on strategic planning, resource allocation, water conservation, market simulation, financial decision-making, and village development. Through these challenges, students gained hands-on experience in problem-solving, teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and business strategy while understanding the realities of rural economies and sustainable practices.

A total of 57 teams participated enthusiastically, demonstrating strong interest in experiential learning and entrepreneurship. The event successfully transformed theoretical concepts into practical challenges, enabling students to apply entrepreneurial principles in real-world scenarios. The top-performing teams advanced to the final round and were recognized for their achievements. Chiguru ’26 concluded with the distribution of certificates and left participants with valuable insights into rural entrepreneurship, strategic thinking, resource management, and collaborative problem-solving.
