CORE EVENTS

On 28th July 2026, the Department of Commerce conducted the B.Com Induction Programme for 180 first-semester students at Chanakya Seminar Hall. The event had two sessions:

1. Session 1 (8:50–9:50 AM): Ms. Kampa Belliappa, HoD of Commerce, welcomed the students and briefed them on the curriculum structure, examination pattern, attendance rules, internal assessment, code of conduct, and opportunities like value-added courses, internships, and placements.
2. Session 2 (9:50–11:50 AM): Ms. Srividya Anand, Senior Student Counsellor, spoke on transitioning to college life, addressing academic stress, procrastination, discipline, positive thinking, and mental well-being, while highlighting campus counselling services.

Both sessions were interactive, helping students connect academic expectations with real-time discipline and personal well-being.
