ACCA Orientation Programme for B.Com Batch 2026–27
The Department of B.Com, New Horizon College, organized an ACCA Orientation Programme for the B.Com Batch 2026–27 on 24 August 2026 at Chanakya Seminar Hall. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), its global recognition, professional significance, and the advantages of pursuing ACCA alongside a B.Com degree.
The session was conducted by Mr. Kalvin and his team from ISDC, who provided valuable insights into the ACCA qualification, career opportunities, and its relevance in accounting, auditing, taxation, financial management, and related fields. Students were also introduced to the ACCA course structure and the paper exemptions available to eligible B.Com students, helping them understand how their academic studies can support their professional progression.
The programme featured an interactive discussion and question-and-answer session, where students actively engaged with the speakers and clarified their doubts regarding examinations, exemptions, career prospects, and the process of pursuing ACCA. The session successfully enhanced students’ understanding of professional qualifications and encouraged them to explore global career opportunities alongside their undergraduate studies.
