ANTI SEXUAL HARASSMENT CELL
Self Defense Session
On 7th September 2016 Anti Sexual Harassment cell conducted a self defense session for all the girl students of New Horizon College Marahahalli. The objective of conducting the self defense session was to make the students aware about the matters that constitute sexual harassment and action that can be taken with regards to the same.
Students got the opportunities to learn different techniques of self defense. These techniques were demonstrated by Mrs.Rajashri Parmar , Assistant Professor, New Horizon College Marahahalli. Mrs.Rajashri Parmar is certified and trained in Judo and has attended many self defense workshops.
The students were really happy after learning the self defense techniques and it has induced confidence in them to fight against sexual harassment. The committee made various charts for displaying the messages related to Anti Sexual Harassment. The message were thought provoking, the overall response of students towards the session was positive.
