About the session / Event

An initiative of IQAC, in conjunction with the Human Rights Protection Cell and Literary Club, organized an open discussion on Auctions and Trades: Human for lives for BBA., B.Com, B.CA students (2023 batch) on 11/12/2023 Between 1:30 – 2:30 at Chanakya Seminar Hall.

The discussion focused on the major issue of human trafficking. The idea was to create effective public awareness so that outreach efforts can lead to the detection of human trafficking cases, build public support for communities to act, and ultimately help prevent human trafficking.

Ms. Devaki S and Ms. M.K. Divya of the English Department, NHCM were invited to judge the competition where they actively took part in the panel discussion and also cheered up the participants.

Objectives if the session:

  1. The objective of conducting this open discussion was to create awareness on the ongoing issues of Human Trafficking
  2. Motivating students to identify the root cause and raise voice regarding the same
  3. To inform and aware the students of the horrors of human trafficking
Outcome of the session:

The purpose of the session was achieved because at the end of the session the students were aware of the issue and could speak and identify the evils of the same in the society. It was wonderful to witness the last round where the selected participants spoke about their own experiences.
