Event Overview:

The Alumni Association of New Horizon College, Marathahalli, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), took a significant step in promoting holistic well-being among students by organizing the event “Yoga AlumFlow.” This event, held on October 7th, 2023, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, featured a rejuvenating yoga session led by a distinguished alumnus of New Horizon College Mr. Adhithan K who is a seasoned yoga instructor and accomplished artist segregator. The primary goal of this initiative was to introduce students to the physical and mental benefits of yoga while fostering a sense of connection with alumni.

An impressive total of 249 students from the 1st semester BCOM and BBA programs actively participated in the “Yoga AlumFlow” session. The event welcomed students from different academic backgrounds, reflecting their collective interest in promoting overall well-being and learning from accomplished alumni.The “Yoga AlumFlow” session was expertly conducted by an esteemed alumnus of New Horizon College. The instructor is not only a highly regarded yoga practitioner but also an accomplished artist segregator, adding a unique dimension to the session. His multi-faceted expertise made him an ideal choice to lead this event. His ability to connect with the students and convey the importance of yoga was remarkable.

Yoga Asanas: The instructor guided students through a variety of yoga asanas, catering to different skill levels. These asanas focused on improving flexibility, strength, and balance while promoting mindfulness.

Breathing Techniques: The session emphasized the significance of controlled breathing in yoga practice. Students were taught various breathing techniques to enhance concentration and reduce stress.

Ms. Kampa Belliappa, the Alumni Coordinator, played a pivotal role in the successful organization of the “Yoga AlumFlow” session. Her dedication and meticulous planning ensured that the event ran smoothly and that students had a meaningful experience.
