A conference on Female Voices in Contemporary World Literature was organised by Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya (SNMV) College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore. Carolin Chris, Assistant Professor of English, New Horizon College, Marathalli, was invited as the Resource Person and presented a topic entitled, Veiled Texts and Visible Margins. The presentation focused on women Muslim writers and their works, various elements of Islamic writing, characterization and themes of the select authors. It also explored on contemporary literary representations of Muslim women through Muslim women writers, victimhood of Muslim women and paved way for different approach and understanding about the Islamic writing.
