Introduction
On July 8th, the Avinya Dance Club was honored to perform at our Founder’s Day Function to celebrate our Founder’s birthday. This special day featured a series of captivating performances by the talented members of the dance club, each showcasing their diverse skills and passion for dance. The event began with a nostalgic Retro Bollywood performance, transporting the audience back to the golden era of Indian cinema. Next was an energetic Salsa routine, presented in collaboration with students from NHCE, highlighting the vibrant spirit of the occasion. The grand finale was a mesmerizing performance, a powerful depiction of the history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, leaving a lasting impact on all attendees.
Performance 1: Retro Bollywood
On July 8th, during our Founder’s Day celebrations, the Avinya Dance Club set the stage ablaze with their vibrant Retro Bollywood performance. The first act of the day, this 5-minute routine, was a delightful blend of peppy Bollywood songs and iconic dialogues, transporting the audience back to the golden era of Indian cinema. The club members showcased their dynamic choreography and infectious energy, instantly captivating the crowd. The clever incorporation of famous dialogues added a nostalgic touch, making the performance entertaining and deeply memorable. The audience’s enthusiastic response, filled with cheers and applause, was a testament to the joy and excitement that the performance brought to the event, perfectly setting the tone for the rest of the celebrations.
Performance 2: Salsa
On July 8th, as part of the Founder’s Day celebrations, the Avinya Dance Club presented a captivating Salsa performance, marking the second act of the day. In a spirited collaboration, students from New Horizon College Marathahalli and New Horizon College of Engineering came together to deliver a dazzling 5-minute routine in the Salsa style. Their seamless coordination and rhythmic moves brought an energetic and vibrant atmosphere to the stage, captivating the audience with lively Latin beats. The performance was met with enthusiastic applause, as the dynamic interplay between the dancers kept the crowd thoroughly entertained, adding an exciting and memorable highlight to the day’s festivities.
Performance 3: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Rule
The grand finale of the Founder’s Day celebrations on July 8th was a powerful and evocative thematic dance performance by the Avinya Dance Club, depicting the life and rule of Chhatrapati Shivaji.

The chemistry and coordination between the dancers were mesmerizing, making it a true crowd-pleaser. However, the undisputed highlight of the day was the powerful and awe-inspiring “History of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj” performance. The dramatic portrayal of the great warrior’s life left the audience in awe, with many expressing deep admiration for the artistic and historical richness of the performance.
