Women’s Day
New Horizon College observed International Women’s Day on 8th March, 2018, at 11 am in the Chanakya Seminar hall, by organizing a talk on the topic ‘Press for Progress’. The event was organised by the Women Empowerment Cell of the college.
The speaker of the day was Dr. Uma Warrier, professor of Organization Behaviour and Human Resource, CMS Business School, Jain University. Dr. Warrier emphasized on the need for women to press for freedom, equality and identity. She also encouraged the girl students to take initiative on their own and not wait for anybody to bring about a change.
With active participation from the students, the session was highly interactive and successful. Women’s day is celebrated across the globe to recognize women from different walks of life for their struggle and achievements.
