Self-defence workshop
The Women Empowerment Cell of New Horizon College, Marathahalli, organised a self-defence workshop on 18th September, 2018 in the college Indoor Basketball Stadium. The workshop was organised only for the girl students of NHCM as part of women empowerment programme. Tharun S, a former student of BCA New Horizon College and Head Instructor of Horizon Champions Club, along with his two assistants trained the students. The workshop started from 12 pm till 2 pm. The session began with warming up followed by demonstration and practise of self-defence techniques. The instructor demonstrated different situations of attack and defence to the students. Prasanna Prakash, IQAC Head Coordinator, Sowmya J, the HOD of BBA Department and Nagaraju K, the HOD of BCA graced the event and distributed the certificates to the participants. The event came to a close with vote of thanks and presentation of memento by Dr Bodhisatvan, the Principal of NHCM.
